Construction Progress

• Phase 1 – Site Utilities

  This phase is nearly complete. The work in the existing hospital and at the former utility tunnel and complete. The installation and switchover of the new systems are final. The remaining work includes the second half of medical gas and natural gas along 22nd street. Closeout of this phase is scheduled for the middle of 2011.

  Phase 2 – Service Building

  Work commenced in October 2010. The new generators have been purchased and tested. Scheduled completion for this phase is early 2012, well in advanced of the need for the new hospital building.

  Phase 3 Increment 1 – Shoring, Excavation, Dewatering

  The work of this Phase is 95% complete. We will reach the bottom of the hole the end of May 2011.

  Phase 3 Increment 2 & 3 – Foundation and Structure

  This work has been awarded. Structural steel began fabrication in February, 2011. The tower crane will be erected in the early summer of 2011 with concrete work to follow.

  Phase 4 Increment 4 – Interior Buildout

  100% CD drawings were received in March 2011. The final rounds of coordination continue. Interior mockups for the hospital are nearly complete and are being reviewed by the construction team as well as the end users. Buyout is underway and scheduled to be complete by the fall of 2011.

  Phase 4 Increment 6 – Exterior Enclosure

  Mockup and testing is underway. Final permit and drawings are scheduled for October 2011.
